Public Hearing

  1. 2 Snow and ice removal from public sidewalks (2018-00650)

    Passage of Resolution adopting and levying the assessments and adopting the assessment roll for sidewalk snow and ice removal charges for the 2017-2018 winter season on the list of properties dated June 13, 2018.

  2. 3 28th Ave S (58th St E to City limit) Street Reconstruction: Project approval, assessment, and areaway abandonment (2018-00795)

    1. Passage of Resolution ordering the work to proceed and adopting special assessments in the amount of $52,405 for the 28th Ave S (58th St E to City limit) Street Reconstruction Project No. 6761 (CPV134).

    2. Passage of Resolution requesting the Board of Estimate and Taxation to authorize the City's issuance and sale of assessment bonds in the amount of $52,405 for the project.

    3. Passage of Resolution ordering the abandonment and removal of areaways located in the public right-of-way in conflict with the project.

  3. 4 Low Power Vehicles ordinance (2018-00742)

    Passage of Ordinance amending Title 18 of the Minneapolis Code of Ordinances relating to Traffic Code, adding a new Chapter 492 entitled "Low Power Vehicles" to regulate the operation and sharing of low power vehicles.

  1. 5 Contract with Toole Design Group for Vision Zero Action Plan (2018-00785)

    Authorizing a contract with Toole Design Group, in an amount not to exceed $158,854, for the Minneapolis Vision Zero Action Plan development.

  2. 6 Contract amendment with Yerigan Construction Company for Nicollet Mall art restoration (2018-00786)

    Authorizing an increase to Contract No. C-42507 with Yerigan Construction Company, in the amount of $192,897, for a new not-to-exceed total of $408,087, for art restoration and reinstallation on Nicollet Mall.

  3. 7 Temporary Occupancy Permit agreement with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway for watermain repair (2018-00788)

    Authorizing an agreement with Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway to obtain a Temporary Occupancy Permit to repair a leak in a watermain located under BNSF tracks.

  4. 8 Grant from Hennepin County for public recycling containers (2018-00798)

    1. Accepting a grant from Hennepin County, in the amount of $53,900, to purchase public sidewalk recycling containers for the Eat Street and Stadium Village Special Service Districts.

    2. Authorizing an agreement with Hennepin County for the grant.

    3. Passage of Resolution approving appropriation of funds to the Public Works Department.

  5. 9 METRO Blue Line Extension Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project: Master Funding Agreement (2018-00790)

    1. Authorizing the proper City officers to execute a Master Funding Agreement with the Metropolitan Council for the METRO Blue Line Extension LRT Project (Bottineau Corridor).

    2. Authorizing the proper City officers, acting on behalf of the City, to comply with and certify compliance every year with the most recent version of the federal “Annual List of Certifications and Assurances for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grants and Cooperative Agreements.”

    3. Authorizing the Director of Public Works to be the representative for the City for the purpose of signing FTA Certifications and Assurances and any other documents necessary to qualify to receive project funding for the METRO Blue Line Extension LRT Project.

    4. Authorizing the City Attorney to sign any required legal certifications necessary to qualify to receive project funding for the METRO Blue Line Extension LRT Project.

  6. 10 Acquisition of land from Hennepin County for a storm water holding pond (2018-00730)

    Passage of Resolution authorizing the acquisition of land located at 1230 New Brighton Blvd from Hennepin County for a stormwater holding pond, and authorizing agreements with Hennepin County Regional Rail Authority and the State of Minnesota to facilitate the installation and maintenance of the stormwater holding pond.

  7. 11 Hennepin Ave S (Lake St to W 36th St) Street Reconstruction Project: Easements (2018-00792)

    Authorizing negotiation with private property owners to acquire easements and additional right-of-way, if necessary, for the project.

  8. 12 10th Ave SE River Bridge Project: Layout approval and easements (2018-00797)

    1. Approving the layout for the 10th Ave SE River Bridge Project, from 2nd St S to University Ave SE (CBR111).

    2. Authorizing negotiation with adjacent property owners to acquire temporary and permanent easements, if necessary, for the project.

  9. 13 Bid for installation of large diameter cured-in-place pipe (2018-00791)

    Accepting the low bid of Lametti & Sons, Inc., submitted on Official Publication No. 8574, in the amount of $957,922, to provide all materials, labor, equipment, and incidentals for the installation of large diameter cured-in-place pipe for the City of Minneapolis Public Works Department, and authorizing a contract for the project, all in accordance with City specifications.
