Background Analysis
The Grand Ave S Bridge over the Midtown Greenway was originally constructed in 1914. Over a hundred years later, the bridge is in poor structural condition and the ongoing deteriorations are a concern.
The City released a Request for Proposal (RFP)/Event #0000002584 for Engineering and Design Services for the Grand Avenue Bridge on May 11, 2023 and received proposals from two (2) firms. After an evaluation process which included interviews, SRF was the selected consultant. The SRF team has five (5) subconsultants including Landmark Environmental, Bolton & Menk, Transportation Collaborative & Consultants, Braun Intertec, and Hess Roise and Company to meet the Small and Underutilized Businesses (SUBP) goal of 4% combined MBE and WBE.
