February 9, 2015 Council authorized extending Contract C-36554 with Dynamic Imaging Systems, Inc. through December 31, 2017 and increasing the contract by $35,000 for a new not-to-exceed total of $44,310 using the vendor's contract documents.

December 14, 2012 Council authorized entering into a contract agreement on behalf of the Police Department with Dynamic Imaging Systems, Inc. and execute any documents necessary for the maintenance of photo imaging equipment in the Juvenile Division along with a backup system in Police Crime Lab.  The estimated 2013 costs for the maintenance agreement is $9,320.

Background Analysis

The City entered into a contract, using the vendor's form, with Dynamic Imaging Systems, Inc. on January 1, 2013 for a not-to-exceed total of $44,310.  Dynamic Imaging Systems, Inc. provides the Police Juvenile Division and Police Crime Lab with a system that is utilized during the booking process of offenders.  The system photographs offenders, captures their information such as height, weight, hair and eye color, home address, parent/guardian information, scars/tattoos and other valuable information that is required by the Police Juvenile Division and Police Crime Lab.
