Background Analysis
On July 22, 2024, the City’s Information Technology Department (“IT”) issued an RFP event #0000003205 to select a qualified consulting firm (Consultant) for providing market research and advisory services (Project). Seven (7) proposal responses were received and after evaluations being completed, the Information Technology Department (“IT”) selected Forrester Research, Inc. to provide such services.
The City’s Information Technology department’s goals for this Project are to:
- Engage with a partner to provide reference materials to help inform IT’s evolution of its strategic direction.
- Access to current studies, analysis and market trends for technology-related products and services.
- Understand current and emerging market trends.
- Understand leading vendors in various market sectors.
- Access to evaluation toolkits.
- Access to advisors knowledgeable in their field of study.
- Access to toolkits and templates to assist in communicating IT related topics and concepts.
The Consultant will provide access to market research, analysis, benchmarking tools, and advisory services relating to the technology field within the government sector.
IT therefore is requesting authority for staff to negotiate and enter into a contract with Forrester Research, Inc., including modifications to the City’s General Terms and Conditions, for a term of three (3) years, beginning March 1, 2025 February 29, 2028, with an amount not-to-exceed $319,998.48, with an option to extend for two (2) additional one-year terms, or one (1) additional two-year term.
