The Minneapolis Auto Theft program operation will be reconsidered if this application is not awarded.
The funding supports the Sergeant coordinator for the Police Auto Theft Prevention Program, overtime and operational expenses. Also, funding of approximately $300,000, will be provided, if the application is approved, for the Police Department to reimburse other Minnesota law enforcement agencies as approved and directed by the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Board and provides funding to cover the Police Department's costs to serve as fiscal agent for the statewide program.
If the grant is not approved, operation of the Minneapolis Auto Theft Prevention Program will be reconsidered. No additional FTE is required.
